Little lambs aims to provide a sturdy platform for your children entering school with specialist focus on planned purposeful play following children individual interests, we aim to provide a mix of adult led and child initiated play based on the characteristics of learning and the prime areas and four specific areas
We also introduce new ideas weekly to elaborate on experiences to enhance their development.

Experienced and fully Trained Staff: All staff in this area are suitably trained and have relevant qualifications to ensure the highest level of teaching is provided, alongside dedicated caring staff to nurture your child’s self confidence, to help them flourish.
Continuity of care is essential, key workers work regular hours week-to-week from 7:30am-6:00pm, alongside a 2nd key worker ensuring children feel safe and settled throughout the day.
Age appropriate toys and resources, planning ensure children are stimulated by following and excited, alongside new experiences everyday.
Focuses on the Early Years Foundation Stage introduces children to learn new skills in all areas on the Early Years Foundation Stage including: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development in particular. With development into Mathematics, Literacy and Expressive arts and Design.
A welcoming space with a homely feel, providing comfort, continuity and stimulating opportunities, building self-confidence through small group sessions with large emphasis on outdoor experiences and learning in the countryside.
Great Transitions to primary Schools: We strongly feel that communication with transition schools are essential in ensuring a smooth progression into school life. We therefore make contact with new schools providing files and progression reports and invite teachers into nursery to meet children in a familiar environment. Children with additional needs are supported in the transitions by the special educational needs coordinator meeting class teacher by visiting the school and the key worker joining the child in class.

Claire is a mother of 4 grown children and Grandmother to her grandson, she is caring and nuturing which helps the babies thrive in her home to home environment. With Claire's 25 years experience in the Early Years she gives children the best start in life.
Claire trains members of staff in baby Picasso and tummy time, with extensive skills in sensory exploration she enhances the sensory room bringing lights, colours and textures to the babies learning in their early stages.
